Exciting Playground Development

We are very excited to announce, that we’ve massively improved our outdoor area with the addition of new and exciting resources to support outdoor learning.

Our new playground additions promote physical development, messy play, den-building, role play, communication, language and PSED.

For physical development, we have a challenging new Trim Trail which includes obstacles such as a Log Weaver, Tight Rope Bridge, Walk and Stretch and Inclined Balance Beam.

When overcoming these obstacles, our children will begin to develop their climbing confidence, balance, coordination, strength and gross motor skills.

To encourage sand and water play, we installed a Water Table and Sand Table complete with lids. These inclusive sensory resources will transport children to imaginary worlds and develop their imaginations and fine motor skills. Both of our new tables have lids meaning we can give the children social responsibilities to ensure they’re covered each table up after play!

For further collaborative play, we installed outdoor musical instruments which includes a Batonka and Bongo Panel. The children are now free to express themselves and make as much noise as they like outside.

To promote den making and role play, we have installed a wonderful Wigwam which will become the focal point for imaginative games. The children love developing their social skills, communication and language skills, along with their understanding of the world and literacy through unleashing their inner imaginations and creative spark.

Moreover, we have re-surfaced the outside area with all-weather artificial grass to create a safe and inviting place to play.

We worked with Pentagon Play on this project and we highly recommend them to any school looking to develop their outdoor area.

Used Stamps

Please can you save your used stamps , and start collecting them for our pre school , if we can fill the box then we will receive around £180 for our pre school, so easy money hopefully --- please can you ask people you know to help out, friends, grandparents and start collecting
Many thanks

Lottery Grant

We are delighted to let all our parents know that we have been successful in obtaining a grant for £9800 from the national lottery , we are supper excited to start work on our new outdoor play area , we will keep you all posted when the work is likely to start ,
We will have to clear some of our old equipment out and get the site ready so if there are any parents who are able to help us during the February half term holidays then that would be great , as we are trying to keep costs down for the labour and spend it on the new resources . Please see Sue, Alison or Helen if you can help. We would like to thank all parents who put comments on the Facebook status about pre school and the play area as this helped us to secure this award .
Many thanks again from all the pre school staff xxxxx
